The main advantages of joining the California Scholarship Federation

For a Life Membership or Sealbearer, the California Scholarship Federation (CSF), Inc. offers scholarships to deserving California high school students. One of the top academic awards granted to secondary school graduates in the state of California, this scholarship was established in 1921. The scholarships help the high school student not only while they are still in high school, but they also help pay for their college or university education. To join the CSF, you must be a resident of California and uphold a high standard of academic performance.

Here is our evaluation based on the data:

Our first finding is that, unlike most honor societies, which have a rigid GPA requirement, this society has its own point system, which is highly distinctive.

Our second finding was that students with bad citizenship may be excluded from membership. Disbarment is up to the adviser’s and principal’s discretion.

Our third finding was that formal membership only lasts for one semester, and individuals are evaluated for potential re-admission to membership each semester.

The 10 (ten) points must include 4 (four) points from List I courses.

List I and II courses must account for 7 (seven) of the 10 (ten) points, including the four List I points. Of fact, any one of the seven ideas may originate from List I.

The final three (three) items may be taken from any list.

To receive the 10 (ten) points, only 5 (five) courses (or 25 credits) may be used.

Pick up and deliver the CSF application to Mrs. Frack in room 201.

Application deadline: for the spring of 2022 is September 16, 2022.

According to the California Scholarship Federation’s guidelines, applicants must submit their applications four weeks after the semester’s final grades are announced.

Exception to the rule: Seniors do not have to submit final spring semester applications. The CSF advisors check end-of-the-year standing.

FOR LIFE MEMBERS

Seniors who have been CSF members for four semesters, from the second semester of their sophomore year through the second semester of their senior year, are eligible to become Life Members (Sealbearers at graduation). Because one semester must be based on grades achieved in the senior year, a senior must meet the requirements for the second semester of senior year even if they have participated in four previous semesters. If a senior qualifies and submits a CSF application in May or June, they may use their final grades from the last semester of their senior year to meet the Sealbearer requirements.
